Generator Building Bristol

The Generator Building in Bristol is a historic Grade II* listed building that was originally constructed to house the generator that powered the city’s tram system. Dating back to 1899, this Victorian power station has been repurposed and transformed into a shared office space, designed by British interiors. The redevelopment of the Generator Building is part of the Finzels Reach development, contributing to the revitalisation of the area. It offers modern co-working spaces and has become a hub for creative, media, and tech businesses.

To preserve the essence of the Generator Building while adapting it to contemporary needs, we undertook several crucial tasks. This included crafting an as-built 3D BIM model at Level of Development (LOD) 3, along with an accompanying 3D site plan. Additionally, detailed models of the facade and steelwork were meticulously created at LOD 3 and 4, ensuring accuracy and fidelity to the building’s unique architectural elements.
